Unlike the low-profile “Hockey Puck” style LED warning flares on the market, we designed the. BEACON-4-LIFE to stand 12″ tall. It was not designed to be run over by vehicles because it was intended to be seen and avoided.

If people are running over your warning beacons, it is probably because they are not seeing them in the first place. This puts your emergency personnel at risk of being struck by a vehicle. Think about this…isn’t the whole purpose of a warning beacon or flare to be seen and warn people away from an emergency scene, disabled vehicle, obstacle in the road, or dangerous area?

Yes! The BEACON-4-LIFE is UL Approved for use in hazardous locations: Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D.

Please note: Dual color LED module flash patterns (including S.O.S.) can be operated in either color or alternately flashing between the two colors.

The BEACON-4-LIFE is not only a high-power warning beacon, but it is also a high-power flashlight with a focused beam and S.O.S. signal.

The bi-color red/white model also features a high-power work light and lantern.

Unlike other warning beacons on the market – the BEACON-4-LIFE was designed from the beginning to have field replaceable parts. The lens, LED module, body, and battery cap can all be swapped out rapidly in the field and without special tools.

It uses 3 D-size alkaline batteries.

The units can be clipped on to cones using either the integrated extended side clip or the traffic cone ring. The optimal way to operate the beacon with traffic cones is to place them under the cones and now you have the entire height of the cone as a light source.

The units can be set to any of the following flash patterns and modes:

The BEACON-4-LIFE is not rechargeable for a reason. As a firefighter for many years, the inventor of this product has had too many experiences where the portable radio or flashlight mounted in a firetruck charger was not working when needed because it had not been properly placed back in the charger by another user. The BEACON-4-LIFE must be ready for use when you need it most! Once the “low battery” indicator comes on, you will have multiple hours of use before the battery goes dead. The unit will not suddenly stop working! The importance of using alkaline batteries was made clear when a firefighter used the beacon-4-life in the aftermath of a hurricane and did not have a capability to recharge his equipment. All he had to do was swap out the readily available d size alkaline batteries and keep on going. Because this product was created for emergency situations, an important consideration to keep in mind is in the event of a long term power outage (such as after a severe storm or hurricane) your ability to recharge the unit may be difficult or impossible.
